Dynamics
There are 2 Branches of Dynamics
1. Kinematics - it is concerned with the possible geometric motion
formed without any presence of forces (internal or external forces). There
are 3 motion of particles in kinematics: Translation, Rotation and Plane Motion.
Kinematics aims to provide the position of any object or bodies (distance),
the rate at which the object is moving (velocity) and the rate of change in velocity
with respect to time (acceleration = ∆ V ).
2. Kinetics - it is concerned with the relationship of force/s acting on the
body to its mass and acceleration.
F = M × a F = force
M = mass (kg, lb, g, ton and etc.)
a = acceleration
Difference between mass and weight. Mass refers to the amount of matter
on any object while weight is a measure of how the gravity acts on the mass (N,
psi, ksi and etc).
